Britta v. Grenzland (Brúnka)
* 05/22/1981, Mandelbachtal (Saarland, Germany)
Breed: Icelandic Horse
Height: 1.35m (13 3/4 hands)
Father: Gunnar v. Grenzland
Mother: Brana frá Hólum
Gaits: 5 - walk, trot, canter, tolt, pace ('piggypace')
Afraid of: sheeps, stacks of wood, "saber-toothed tigers"
Speciality: to look cute, to be overtrustful and to make a real mess while "eating" (I call it 'scattering food')
I got Brúnka when I was 12 years old. She is very important to me and the last 3 years she gave me a lot to worry about. I really thought that she was going to die because she looked like a ghost. She was so thin...but when she got out on the gras...she got alive again. And now she's pretty good. We always call her the "life assurance" because she is very calm when we're riding outside. But this doesn't mean she doesn't have any temper. It's the other way round. If she doesn't want the stop then she doesn't. And I can't do anything about it. "Calm" means that she doesn't flip and thinks that every plastic bag lying around is going to eat her up. I love her to death and I don't know what I'm going to do if she dies one day...

Like I said...she was very thin
Ok...I don't usually braid my horse's hair but it was just to relax her neck because her mane is very long and heavy

Brúnka & I on a trail parcours in October 2001 - don't we look pretty? *lol*
Brúnka: "Do whatever you want up there. I don't care!"
